PETALING JAYA: Mah Sing Group Bhd (Mah Sing) has announced the acquisition of 59 acres of land in Pulai, Johor for the development of M Tiara 3, comprising super-linked homes, and with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM463mil.
Mah Sing said the land was acquired for almost RM63mil and marks the third acquisition in Pulai, following the purchase of 100.4 acres for M Tiara 2 in April 2024 and 75.7 acres for M Tiara in June 2023.
Founder and managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said the recent Budget allocations and the Johor-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) are likely to spur demands for real estate in Singapore.
“We believe that there is booming demand for properties in Johor, hence this acquisition presents a good opportunity for us to continue to expand our presence in this area,” he said.
“This can be further proven with the success of M Tiara, our landed residential project located in the same area. To date, M Tiara has attracted over 14,000 registrations of interest and achieved a 100% take-up rate for international lots in its first two phases, while M Tiara 2 will be open for registration of interest soon.
“Other than that, M Minori located in Taman Seri Austin, which is our first M Series development in the southern region, received overwhelming response from homebuyers where its international lots for all three towers achieved a 99% take-up rate. As such, we will continue to look for strategic lands in Johor to develop townships, M Series projects and industrial projects,” he added.
