Kuala Lumpur, 16 March 2016 – Leading property developer, LBS Bina Group Berhad (LBS), will take part in the launch of the Melaka Cultural and Trade Centre and Melaka Cultural Festival in Zhuhai, China between 19 and 20 March 2016. Also being held in conjunction with the launch is the Pan Delta Super Racing Festival.
The events follow a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between LBS and Zhuhai Jiuzhou Group Holdings Ltd that was officiated in Melaka, Malaysia. Signed in September 2015, the MOU detailed the upgrade and transformation plan of multiple zones in Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC). The plan also included the development of a cultural centre to showcase the bond between China and Malaysia.
Realising the MOU, the launch of the Melaka Cultural and Trade Centre and Melaka Cultural Festival will set in motion the plans detailed. Held at ZIC, the Festival is organised by the Melaka State Government. With the assistance of ZIC, the festival will feature the best of Malaysia’s historical south western state. The festival will showcase food stalls, cultural performances, and the historical relationship between Malaysia and China. The events will conclude with the Pan Delta Super Racing Festival, also held at ZIC.
LBS has been actively involved in the management and consultancy services of Zhuhai City since 1993. LBS Bina Group Berhad Managing Director, Tan Sri Lim Hock San serves as a Director of ZIC, and is an active committee member of the Zhuhai Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference (Zhuhai CPPCC).
The events will be officiated by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka, Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil bin Yaakob; Chief Minister of Melaka, Datuk Seri Ir. Haji Idris Haron; and Guangdong Governor, Mr Zhu Xioadan.
Special guests in attendance from The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia will include its President, Tan Sri Pheng Yin Huah; and Honorary Advisor of The Federation of Malaysia Lim Associations, Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai. Also attending the event will be Zhuhai Jiuzhou Holdings Group Co Ltd, Chairman, Mr Wang Xin.
Opened in 1993, ZIC has hosted numerous annual race events that are recognised on a global level.
