PETALING JAYA: KL Wellness City (KLWC) announced the onboarding of a slew of leading retailers into its RM12bil township in Bukit Jalil.
At the Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony at KLWC Gallery in Bukit Jalil, executive director Datuk Sri Vincent Tiew said the wellness city has a business model that extends beyond partnership.
“Our model seeks to position Kuala Lumpur as a multifaceted global destination, not only for advanced healthcare services but also as a hub for culinary experiences, lifestyle offerings, and a spectrum of other industries. These collaborations are intended to enhance the city's allure, attracting a diverse international audience, and amplifying opportunities for cross-border business expansions and cultural exchanges,” Tiew said.
During the event, KLWC also presented a donation of up to RM10,000 in total to Mercy Malaysia and Make-A-Wish Foundation, in recognition of former AmBank Group Chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim’s achievement of conquering Mount Kinabalu at the remarkable age of 84.
The ceremony witnessed a symbolic flag handover by Tiew to two other outstanding fellow Ironman athletes, corporate representative Victor Chen, and the national Ironman record holder Teh Kuok Yuen, for the upcoming Ironman New Zealand in March.
"We celebrate Tan Sri Azman Hashim's remarkable achievement and the Ironman New Zealand flag handover as they are testaments to the ethos of KL Wellness City – a commitment to holistic well-being, perseverance, and the unwavering pursuit of aspirations. These donations and flag handover represent our dedication to creating a positive impact and empowering communities, fostering a brighter future for all," added Tiew.
