KELANA JAYA: His Majesty The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on January 25 attended the Chinese New Year open house organised by LBS Bina Group Bhd (LBS) founder and chairman Datuk Seri Lim Bock Seng.
Also present were Melaka Governor Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dr Mohd Khalil Yaakob, Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad.
LBS managing director Tan Sri Lim Hock San, son of Bock Seng, expressed his gratitude to the King for attending the annual CNY open house.
“We are honoured to have the presence of Yang Di-Pertuan Agong and ministers attend (the) open house this year, (the) family (is) able to celebrate this joyful season with all of the guests”, he said.
Sultan Abdullah later presented “ang pows” to children at the event before greeting members of the public.
Attendees were treated to a variety of local delicacies including char kuey teow, nasi lemak, satay, rojak sotong and ice kacang.
