KUALA LUMPUR: IQI, a global real estate agency network with more than 40,000 agents and negotiators and a member of Juwai IQI, celebrated its move into its newly constructed offices at Millerz Square on Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur with the opening of its new headquarters.
IQI’s new global technology hub is located in the newly completed RM1.8bil mixed development, built on 6.8 acres by developers Exsim Group. The project consists of an eight-story retail and commercial podium topped by four residential towers and one office tower called Devon.
“Kuala Lumpur is our headquarters for global research and development (R&D) and Malaysia is fast becoming one of Asia’s most important technology hubs. The HQ is where our new technology and R&D team is coming together. It will eventually include 1,000 individuals, all focused on delivering the best and most innovative technology, to global real estate markets.,” said Juwai IQI co-founder and group chief executive officer (CEO) Kashif Ansari.
“One of the great features of our new HQ is that it is in the middle of a thriving urban area. That makes it a great place to work and provides connectivity, convenience, amenities and proximity to clients, partners, and industry events. As employers, we have to evolve in step with employees’ needs if we want to attract the best to our team,” said IQI group managing director Daniel Ho
“In this brand-new office space, we have emphasised health and wellness and installed the latest technology and amenities. We also seek to promote teamwork and interaction in the exciting collaborative spaces that are a step up from what we had before,” he said.
To recap, when Juwai IQI announced its intention to build a tech and research team at Millerz Square, it was welcomed by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
“Juwai IQI’s expansion plans are a clear endorsement of investors’ confidence in Malaysia. The company’s commitment to create more than 1,000 new job opportunities is testament to the high level of digital skills and capabilities of our Malaysian workforce,”according to MDEC.
Supporting the move, MDEC explained how Juwai IQI’s moves fit into its wider goals. “Malaysia is on track to become the Heart of Digital Asean. This achievement showcases Malaysia’s solid fundamentals, which include a diversified multilingual and digitally skilled talent pool, ready infrastructure, as well as a mature ecosystem for the digital economy to thrive.”
