PETALING JAYA: IOI Properties Group Bhd officially handed over the newly constructed multipurpose hall to Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya (MPSJ) at Bandar Puteri Puchong today.
The event was graced by group executive chairman Tan Sri Datuk Lee Shin Cheng, chief operating officer for property development Teh Chin Guan, chief operating officer of property investment Cheah Wing Choong, MPSJ president Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han and council deputy president Mohd Zulkarnain Che Ali.
IOI Properties Group executive officer Lee Yeow Seng was present to do the honours of the key handover to MPSJ.
The Multipurpose hall is one of the group’s continual efforts to improve community development and create harmonious community relations.
Located in the established township of Bandar Puteri Puchong, it is a community centre for social interactions and recreational activities for the Puchong residents.
Lee Yeow Seng said it has always been the company’s priority to build sustainable townships that would deliver positive impact towards the economy, environment and society.
“We are continually exploring opportunities to strengthen community bonds, encourage recreational and sporting activities in order to cultivate healthy lifestyles and nurture harmonious relations.
“We are glad to able to work closely with MPSJ in enhancing the lifestyle of the Bandar Puteri Puchong community,” he added.
Salient Features
The 7000-sq-ft new multipurpose hall with an internal build-up has the size of more than three badminton courts, which costs RM2mil and is conveniently located in Bandar Puteri 10.
Residents of Bandar Puteri Puchong now no longer have to travel to multipurpose halls located in Batu 14 Puchong or Puchong Intan. This hall is well-equipped with a huge stage, A public address system (PA system) room, two changing rooms, three badminton courts and a surau.
The high ceilings and wide doorways are notable features that encourage the use of sunlight and natural ventilation. Apart from this, the hall is equipped with handicap-friendly features and facilities such as ramps for easy wheel chair access, OKU toilets and OKU parking lots to cater for those with special needs.
The multipurpose hall that can accommodate 500 pax makes it a perfect choice for private functions and community events, including weddings, neighborhood gatherings, festive celebrations and other activities.
