KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Sime Darby, Tune Protect, Chin Hin, Mega First, Kerjaya Prospeck, Sunway and Mah Sing to be among the stocks to watch on Monday after their improved quarterly earnings.
It said other companies which recorded higher earnings were Ekovest and Hibiscus.
However, higher Telekom Malaysia, Padini, Tomypak, Alam Maritim, Maybulk saw their quarterly results decline on-year.
Ikhmas Jaya bagged a RM57.94mil piling job from TTDI KL Metropolis Sdn Bhd for a high-rise mixed development within the KL Metropolis project.
Last Friday, US markets extended the post-election rally with the Dow and S&P hitting new record highs.
Similarly, European stocks also performed positively led by healthcare counters.
On the local market, the FBM KLCI gained 3.05 points to 1,627.26.
“Due to a lack of a catalyst, the benchmark index could extend its sideways movement above the support of 1,610 points after bucking the regional uptrend in recent weeks,” it said.
