In his book entitled “So, you want to get promoted?”, EQTD Consulting founder Shankar Santhiram gave readers five keys to help employees get promoted.
He stressed that in business and in life, knowing one’s purpose is pivotal to one’s success. Shankar, who owns a myriad of businesses, explained that the success of his business is a result of a clear purpose.

Who is Shankar Santhiram?
Shankar R. Santhiram is an Executive Leadership Coach. He is also the Managing Consultant of EQTD Consulting Malaysia. He obtained a law degree from the University of Sussex in the UK in 1993.
Through a 20-year career of being the chief executive officer of two higher learning institutions and his experience of entrepreneurial leadership at numerous startups, Shankar has first-hand practical knowledge in managing the teams effectively to deliver outstanding results.
In 2002, he founded EQTD Consulting, a boutique training and management consulting outfit.
Shankar developed the Executive Leadership Coaching programme using the insights he gleaned from his leadership roles, as well as from being a consultant and trainer for the esteemed organisations.
During his coaching sessions, Shankar offers practical tools and advice that ensure his coachees are able to grasp and act on the important concepts. Over the years, he has coached leaders of all levels, from the CEOs to executives.
Aside from leadership coaching, management consulting, and corporate training, Shankar works with NGOs on youth empowerment & development projects. He has worked with the CIMB Foundation, YTL Foundation, Yayasan Sime Darby & the Rotary Education Fund to train hundreds of young people.
