PETALING JAYA: Looking forward to starting the day by taking part in the Win With Words 2016 contest but unable to get a copy of The Star at the newsstand?
Fret not. Just take a drive to the nearest contest co-organiser IJM Land’s showroom.
Free copies of The Star are available, but only on a first-come-first-serve basis for the first 50 visitors of the day.
This special arrangement is valid daily at its main showroom in P.T. 10786, Seremban 2 until the contest ends on Oct 30.
Petaling Jaya folk and Penangites can walk into its sales offices on any weekday to collect a complimentary copy of the paper.
The offices are located at Lot 27, Jalan RU 7/1, Petaling Jaya; and Ground Floor, Menara IJM Land 1, Lebuh Kudin 3, Penang.
The complimentary newspapers will also be available on weekends in seven other sales galleries in Bandar Rimbayu, Austin Duta, Nasa City, Pantai Sentral Park, Riverine Diamond, Shng Villas and Permatang Sanctuary.
Win With Words is organised by Star Media Group in conjunction with its 45th anniversary celebration, with IJM Land and official car partner Naza Kia.
Participants stand a chance to win more than RM480,000 worth of prizes including two cars – a Kia Sportage GT Line and a Kia Cerato.
Until Oct 30, five letters of the alphabet allotted with a certain number of points each will be published daily in The Star.
Contestants must cut out and collect these letters and form two English words to score points.
The clipped pieces must then be attached to original entry forms.
These forms will be made available in the newspaper.
The more entries sent in, the higher the chances of winning.
Contestants may also get 500 points more by subscribing to The Star Bundle and ePaper during the 10 roadshows nationwide.
The first in Subang Parade attracted many visitors, while the next two will be held in Pall Mall, Seremban, and Aman Central, Alor Setar, from Sept 16 to Sept 18.
Subscribers for the package will also stand a chance to win one of five lucky draw prizes.
