PETALING JAYA: Samsung Electronics (Samsung) said its air-conditioner series featuring the WindFree™ technology has been preferred by consumers worldwide as it effectively optimises the ambient for a comfortable sleep and aligns with the concerns for energy saving and reducing electricity consumption.
Samsung said the finding is based on its recent survey with 1,840 respondents from Brazil, India, Italy, Korea, Thailand and the United States. The respondents were individuals between 20 and 59 years old who are the primary users or key decision-makers in appliance purchases from households with above-average incomes that own residential air conditioning units.
Close to 45% of the respondents preferred the WindFree™ air-conditioner, with the top two reasons being that it allows for a comfortable sleep and the availability of energy-saving mode. A third reason was that the air-conditioner has been effective in ensuring even cooling in the room.
“Since its debut in 2016, WindFree™ air conditioning has garnered significant appreciation from consumers around the world,” said air solution product planning group head Byoungha Song. “We will continue to provide innovative products that deliver personalised care to all of our users.”
