PETALING JAYA: Even with the obstacles imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Glomac’s projects within Petaling Jaya are all on track. According to Glomac chief operating officer Zulkifly Garib, the high-rise projects, 121 Residences and Plaza@Kelana Jaya, are still being constructed ahead of schedule despite the stop-work order during the first movement control order and the subsequent ones.
He attributed this stellar performance to the hard work of Glomac’s project teams and business partner contractors. “Our aim is to deliver our products to the homeowners on time. We believe everyone has been affected by Covid-19 and its subsequent financial effect. On-time delivery of the properties will reduce the financial stress of buyers who are first-time homeowners waiting to move into their new home,” he added.
Located in the heart of Petaling Jaya-Damansara, 121 Residences was launched in August 2019. Registering a gross development value (GDV) of RM327mil, it consists of two 32-storey towers on 3.1 acres of land. The high-rise development offers a total of 834 units, comprising SoHo (450 sq ft) and service apartment (750 sq ft) configurations, priced from RM333,000.
Thus far, 121 Residences have enjoyed an overall take-up rate of 75%. Plaza@Kelana Jaya, which was launched in June 2018, has a take-up rate of 83%.
The RM347mil mixed development spans 3.2 acres and is located along the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong. Targeted for completion by 2022, the freehold development consists of 696 service apartments and SoHo units and only 16 three-storey shop offices.
