SELANGOR: Gamuda Land announced a topping-off ceremony for Maya Bay Residences, Gamuda Cove’s first high-rise residential development. 

Residents received vacant possession of Gamuda Cove’s first landed residential development in early 2023, and Gamuda Cove general manager Brandon Yong estimates that the vacant possession of Maya Bay Residences will take place in March 2024.

“The delivery of this project will be a testament to Gamuda Cove’s mindful town planning which has demonstrated impressive results, with take-up rate for the residential units standing at 95% and 100% take-up for its retail podium,” he said.

Maya Bay Residences comprises three towers of serviced apartments, with a total of 972 units. Units have a built-up ranging from 550 sq ft to 968 sq ft, aimed to cater to various lifestyles, including dual-key units, an array of facilities and smart home features.  The development has 35 retail outlets.

In line with Gamuda’s sustainability agenda, Maya Bay Residences is one of its first few developments built using the Industrialised Building System (IBS), which uses pre-fabricated components produced off-site in a controlled factory setting, reducing carbon footprint and wastage. 

Gamuda Cove is a township with approximately 200 acres of parks, lakes and waterways. The development is located adjacent to 1,111 acres of wetlands reserve, Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands.

The press release notes that the positive response to Gamuda Cove is encouraging for the upcoming Cove Centrum launch, a European-inspired commercial hub located near Maya Bay Residences.

Maya Bay Residences residents will also have access to the SplashMania Waterpark and Discovery Park. The existing e-tram line, connecting Discovery Park to Townsquare and SplashMania, is expected to extend towards Maya Bay Residences by 2026.
