KLANG: WCT Land Sdn Bhd’s latest low-density apartment Adenia Apartments received more than 200% in registrations of interest. Located in Bandar Parklands, Klang, the project is a new low-density apartment comprising 181 units in a single 22-floor tower.
As the property division of WCT Holdings Bhd, Adenia is one of its many steps taken to increase affordable housing availability in the region, priced at RM375,000 per unit.
“Given the current state of the economy, it is pertinent that we continue to build affordable housing because it allows us to grow and provide our country with the homes it deserves. Inflation should not be the primary reason or challenge for anyone to be unable to afford a roof over their heads,” WCT Holdings deputy managing director Peter Chow said.
“Due to the rapid urbanisation process, people are struggling to own a house, particularly those of the younger generation, as they are likely to face challenges such as affordability and financial strain,” he added.
He stated that comfortable homes should not be a privilege but a given. With Malaysia being one of the most urbanised countries in Southeast Asia, 77.16% of the country’s population lives in urban areas as of 2020, depicting a rapid increase from 34.2% in 1980.
Bumiputera units, offered with a 7% discount, are still available. First-time home buyers will be able to apply for a 100% loan from Skim Rumah Pertamaku to enjoy stamp duty exemptions on both memorandum of transfer and loan agreement. For more information, please contact: - 013-638 9988.
