PETALING JAYA: Unity Realty Sdn Bhd recently organised its 7th Annual dinner at Genting International Convention Centre (GICC) to celebrate the company’s successful FY2018 and to appreciate the hard work and efforts of the agents over the years.

In 2018, the company has sold 8,043 units valued at RM4bil gross development value (GDV), a 60% increase from the units sold in 2017, despite the soft market.

Unity Realty Sdn Bhd founder and chief executive officer Datuk Cat Chee is confident that 2019 will be better than last year, and is targeting RM5bil GDV this year.

“The effects of the soft market last November and December have not just been felt by the property industry, but other sectors have been affected as well. But, the government is coming up with new policies for first-time home buyers and I believe this will help to boost our sales and enable us to achieve the target for this year,” she said.

Chee also added that the company’s policy in rewarding and motivating the agents when they achieve their sales target is another success factor of the company.

“We awarded RM30,000 cash to the winner of the Leader group sales champion. I believe teamwork is essential and the leader is doing a great job of helping the team to achieve more,” she mentioned.

Bagging a champion title in both Leader group sales and Personal Leader sales awards, Unity Realty Sdn Bhd prime leader Lim Chi Zen said he believes that leading by example is the secret to his success.

“As a leader, you have the responsibility to be great at your profession and be the top sales person so that your team members will believe you,” he said.

On his outlook for 2019, Lim said it is now the buyer’s market and with developers coming up with a lot of affordably priced houses, Unity Realty will see another successful year ahead.

“Datuk Cat has set the company target to be RM5bil, and that is my target as well. I am confident that we can achieve it,” Lim expressed.
