KUALA LUMPUR: In line with the government’s agenda to encourage more female leadership, the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (Rehda) Wilayah Persekutuan branch has elected two women to head the new committee for the 2022-2024 term.
Fairview Corporation Sdn Bhd’s Ra Adrina Muztaza is the new branch chairperson while Hedgeford Sdn Bhd’s Carrie Fong Kah Wai will serve as her deputy. The election of the new committee was conducted during Rehda Wilayah Persekutuan’s annual general meeting (AGM).
“I would like to record my appreciation to all Rehda members present at this AGM for your valuable support and the vote of confidence for me to take over this challenging position. With my appointment to this new role, I look forward to working closely together with the newly elected branch committee members to carry the responsibility of taking Rehda Wilayah Persekutuan to greater heights and continue with efforts to address the numerous industry challenges faced by the property sector,” said Ra Adrina.
The newly elected committees are Quill Interior Holdings Sdn Bhd’s Stewart Tew, Glory Bounty Sdn Bhd’s Lee Han Rick, Primabina Development Sdn Bhd’s Azuan Arif Mohd Ariffin, Aikbee Timbers Sdn Bhd’s Datuk David Lim, Bon Estates Sdn Bhd’s Chan Jin-Wy, Centro Properties Group Sdn Bhd’s Teo Chui Ping, CRSC Property Sdn Bhd’s Chia Kim Puin, Exsim Development Sdn Bhd’s Michelle Siew, Hap Seng Land Development (Puchong) Sdn Bhd’s Allan Teh, IGB Bhd’s Tan Yee Seng, Sanctuary Development Sdn Bhd’s Tan Ching Meng and Sunway Integrated Properties Sdn Bhd’s Chong Sau Min.
“For the first time in our 50 years of history, Rehda Wilayah Persekutuan will be the first branch to be led by two lady developers who together, have given more than a decade of service to Rehda members and the property development industry in Malaysia.
“Having served with both of my colleagues since they started at Rehda youth, it heartens me to know that the future of our association is in the good hands of the many capable and responsible leaders coming through the ranks,” said outgoing branch chairman Chan Kin Meng.
