PETALING JAYA: Property developer TA Global Bhd will be constructing a bridge linking the Sri Damansara Sentral MRT station to its Damansara Avenue development, strengthening its accessibility.
TA Global will award the contract to Tower Build Steel Sdn Bhd at a cost of RM15mil and upon completion, the 320m elevated pedestrian link bridge will be an integral part of Damansara Avenue's mobility architecture.
"2022 has been full of massive milestones for Damansara Avenue. We recently completed the second residential project Ativo Suites, and it is already 98% sold. The new Sri Damansara MRT link bridge will connect directly to the next phases of the Damansara Avenue masterplan, including the 15-acre, RM3 billion mixed-use project Ativo Annexe. We are excited about its potential of elevating Damansara Avenue and the surrounding communities into a more accessible precinct and creating an exceptional, connected and efficient experience for our residents and visitors”, said TA Global chief executive officer Tiah Joo Kim.
Crossing over intersections of major highways, including the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), Jalan Kuala Selangor, and Duta–Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE) 2, the link bridge calls for specific engineering and design requirements due to the bridge’s construction complexity, he said.
Construction work is scheduled to commence in June and the bridge is estimated to complete in 18 months.
