SP Setia’s Setia AlamImpian received the Silver Award for Design Excellence Awards (Large Scale Category) while its Setia Bayuemas Lake Park in Klang was the Silver Award for the
Placemaking and Public Space Awards (Private Sector Category) at the MIP Planning Excellence Awards 2022.

KUALA LUMPUR: SP Setia has bagged another two accolades for its developments, taking two silver awards at the recent Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) Planning Excellence Awards (MIPPEA) 2022 gala night.

SP Setia’s Setia AlamImpian in Shah Alam won the Silver Award in the Design Excellence Awards (Large Scale Category). 

Another Silver Award winner is the Setia Bayuemas Lake Park in Klang for the Placemaking and Public Space Awards (Private Sector Category). Present to receive the awards were executive vice president Datuk Zaini Yusoff for Setia AlamImpian and executive vice president Datuk Yuslina Mohd Yunus, for Setia Bayuemas Lake Park.

“With our community’s wellbeing in mind, we planned Setia AlamImpian to be a self-sustaining township where our residents from all walks of life have access to the amenities they need in one place. With the LakePoint Central in Setia AlamImpian targeted to open this year, we are excited to bring more offerings to the table including a retail centre, clubhouse and our new Welcome Centre,” said Zaini.

Yuslina said the developer strived to enhance residents’ lifestyle with features that create a sense of community.

“Since its opening, Setia Bayuemas Lake Park has become a place not only for exercising but also a conducive outdoor destination where families like to spend their recreational time together,” she said.

Organised by MIP, MIPPEA acknowledged works and projects which contribute to transforming cities, spaces, communities and the environment.

The Design Excellence Awards (Large Scale Category) recognise projects that are master planned with a holistic approach to urban planning and create a positive influence on the physical built and natural environment by creating liveable places and contributing towards delivering the agenda for sustainable development.

The Placemaking and Public Space Award honours projects that demonstrate significant improvement in their surrounding physical or environmental quality, contributing to the economic and social well-being of their community.

Setia AlamImpian measures a total of 1,235 acres at Seksyen 35 in Shah Alam. It is a freehold township with residential and commercial properties and supported by amenities including Eaton International School, grocers, and a hospital.

Setia Bayuemas Lake Park is a public park within the Setia Bayuemas township in Klang. Thanks to the holistic design, it is now serving as a new habitat for birds and fishes, thus preserving the local biodiversity while also functioning as part of the drainage system during heavy downpours.
