BUOYED by its strong branding and well designed product offerings, SP Setia Bhd is undeterred by thecurrent bearish property market outlook and has an arsenal of eight new projects, among the other projects lined up for launch this year.
Well regarded for its series of Setia Eco projects, the developer will be launching the sequel for Setia Ecohillcalled Setia Ecohill 2 in Semenyih, and Setia EcoTempler in Rawang. The other Klang Valley projects that will be rolled out this year are Setia Putra Residences in Precinct 15, Putrajaya, Setia Sky Seputeh in Kuala Lumpur, Trio by Setia in BukitTinggi, Klang, service residences at KL Eco City in Kuala Lumpur and DeKiara Rumah Selangorku housing project in Setia Alam.
There will also betwo new projects to be launched outside of the Klang Valley - Setia Sky Ville in Jelutong, Penang and Aeropod retail offices in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
SP Setia Bhd acting president and CEO Datuk Khor Chap Jen said, "We think that the market will be soft the first half of this year, but it will pick up in the second half of the year. We will continue to offer midpriced range homes and also products for the underserved market. Meanwhile, we are also on an active look out to acquire more land bank."
In the fast developing corridor of Semenyih, SP Setia will be rolling out Setia Ecohill 2 that is coming up on a sprawling parcel of 1,010 acres adjacent to the ongoing Setia Ecohill 1 township, a self-sustaining township equipped with amenities including schools,commercial and retail units. The accessibility to thecorridor has been given a boost with the opening of the Lekas-Ecohill Link in September 2015.
Phase one of Setia Ecohill 2 to be launched in May 2016 will have 354 two-storey terrace houses and cluster semi-detached homes. The comfortably sized units with built-up of 1,830 sq ft to 2,150 sq ft will be priced above RM500,000 for a unit of terrace home and above RM600,000 for a unit ofcluster home.
In keeping with this, the carefully manicured landscape environment will treat residents to a unique experience that encapsulates the elements of nature that is present within the development - air, earth and water. Almost 50% of the entire development is dedicated to ample landscape, waterscapes, amenities and infrastructures. Another Setia Eco series project is the gated and guarded Setia EcoTempler to be built on 195 acres in Rawang. There will be two storey Link villas, semi-detached homes and bungalows with built-up of 2,394 sq ft to close to 2,965 sq ft, for the villas, 3,492 and 3,482 sq ft for the semi-detached houses and 4,214 sq ft for the bungalows.
Located amidst limestone hills, misty mountains and rolling hills, crafted creeks and rainforest reserves, the project boasts of a naturally breezy ambience.
It is modelled after Setia Eco Park and Setia Eco Glades projects, where the sustainable and eco features within the development will captivate nature lovers.
The township is embraced by the natural tropical rainforest of Templer Rainforest Reserve and Kanching Rainforest Reserve.

Located in the mature township of Jelutong in Georgetown, the project will feature semi-detached bungalow layout in the sky.
In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Aeropod is offering boutique retail offices for sale. With sizes of 1,200 sq ft to 1,594 sq ft, they are priced at an average of RM882 per sq ft.
Aeropod, a 60-acre mixed-use development, is poised to be the largest integrated linearcity in Kota Kinabalu.
