PETALING JAYA: Construction management services provider Southern Score Builders Bhd (SSB) is strategically focusing on expanding its construction services as part of its future plans while leveraging on its expertise and business network.
Executive director and chief executive office Gan Yee Hin said that the SSB has participated in several public and private sector tenders and is also exploring opportunities in other projects that could yield long-term and sustainable revenue.
"As part of the future plans, we are also venturing into the manufacturing of Industrialised Building System (IBS) products as we see demand growing from the construction sector," he said.
SSB subsidiary Southern Score Builders Sdn Bhd has ongoing projects such as Platinum Arena Residences, Vista Wirajaya 1 @ PV9 Residences, Vista Sentul Residences and Vista Harmoni Residences.
SSB emerged as a result of a regularisation exercise of G Neptune, which acquired Southern Score Builders Sdn Bhd in a reverse takeover in 2021. Southern Score Builders Sdn Bhd, a CIBD Grade 7 contractor was previously owned by Super Advantage Property Sdn Bhd (SAP), which in turn is owned by Platinum Victory Group founder Tan Sri Gan Yu Chai.
Under the regularisation plan, SAP entered into an agreement with SSB whereby the latter is guaranteed a cumulative profit of RM80 mil from the financial year ending Dec 31, 2022 to Dec 31, 2024.
"Taking into consideration the group's prospects, the group is likely to achieve the targeted profit over the profit guarantee period which is a cumulative net profit guarantee of RM80 million over the three-year period from 2022 to 2024 provided by the vendor, (SAP) under the regularisation plan. This guarantee is intact and well on target," said Gan.
