KUALA LUMPUR: City developer SkyWorld Development Bhd (SkyWorld) has received an award at the highly coveted Malaysia Property Awards (MPA) 2022 from the Malaysian chapter of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI-Malaysia) for its SkyAwani 2 Residences under the affordable housing category.

The award was conferred by Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka Tun Mohd Ali Rustam to SkyWorld chief executive officer Lee Chee Seng during the gala dinner held at One World Hotel recently. This is the first time SkyWorld has won an MPA trophy.

Strategically located on a 2.78-acre parcel off Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, SkyWorld’s SkyAwani 2 Residences comprises 708 residential units with 102 commercial lots. Completed in 2020, it achieved a Qlassic score of 79%. With a gross development value of RM266mil, SkyAwani2 Residences offers full-fledged facilities such as an infinity swimming pool that overlooks the majestic Batu Caves and Genting Highlands, a half basketball court, a barbecue pit, a children’s playground, family recreational area, sky bridge that connects the two towers, sky lounge, sky garden, yoga studio, fully air-conditioned multi-purpose hall, parcel lockers, EV charging points and a four-tier security system.

Commenting on the award, Lee said: “We are indeed honoured to receive this prestigious award from FIABCI-Malaysia. This is the first award for SkyWorld from FIABCI-Malaysia, and hopefully the first of many more to come. Recognition of SkyAwani 2 Residences under the Affordable Housing Category serves as a testament to our commitment to delivering quality homes as we pledge to continue to prioritise and produce top-notch workmanship through our Healthy Building, Healthy Living principle.

“I must commend the entire team for their high-calibre work, and their time, dedication, and efforts. We will strive to deliver on our purpose to enhance the quality of lives through the spaces that we created and in accordance with our purpose to Make Living Better. We will continue to deliver on our brand promise that quality homes and living are within reach and stimulate growth in the company to benefit all our stakeholders,” he added.
