RAWANG: Setia Eco Templer, S P Setia Bhd’s upcoming 194-acre township, is on track for its launch in two weeks’ time, as the company inked an agreement with AmBank (M) Bhd yesterday for banking facilities worth RM315mil for the development of the township.
AmBank has also granted RM200mil working capital term loan to S P Setia.
The township, located on the former site of Perangsang Templer Golf Club in Templer Park, would have a gross development value (GDV) of RM2bil.
“We are honoured to be the financier of the Setia Eco Templer project. This mixed township is one of the prominent and biggest eco-themed projects in the Klang Valley to be launched this year, and we are privileged to be part of its future success and development,” said AmBank chief executive officer Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir.
“Home buyers interested in purchasing units at Setia Eco Templer through AmBank will receive special home loan packages with competitive rates and favourable terms from AmBank. There are also special packages on Fire and Contractors’ All Risk insurance for Setia Eco Templer home buyers,” he added.
The township will feature linked villas, semi-detached homes, bungalows and affordable apartments, with a grand clubhouse to service residents’ leisure needs.
There will be a total of 1,800 residential units, of which 900 units will be affordable homes ranging from RM42,000 to RM250,000.
Setia Eco Templer will be surrounded by gazetted forest reserves – Templer Rainforest Reserve and Kanching Rainforest Reserve.
Apart from that, S P Setia has since secured approval for the contruction of a new interchange connecting Setia Eco Templer directly to Jalan Ipoh.
“As with most of S P Setia’s township development, we always ensure that good infrastructure is put in place to deliver better connectivity and convenience for our purchasers.
“This interchange costing about RM25mil shall be completed upon vacant possession of the first phase of Setia Eco Templer,” said S P Setia president and CEO Datuk Khor Chap Jen.
There will be more launches by S P Setia for the second half of the year, such as Eco Hill 2 in Semenyih.
The company has remaining landbank of over 3,000 acres with an estimated GDV of RM70bil.
