Raia Inn Penang reopens with a brand new look.
GEORGE TOWN: Raia Inn Penang, located nearby Penang International Airport, has reopened its doors after a year-long renovation and refurbishment, which is done in two phases.
The first phase focused on remodelling the café, lobby area and guest rooms with modern amenities. The second phase will upgrade the existing landscape and develop leisure facilities such as a swimming pool, beach volleyball field and paintball zone. With the completion of the first phase and the second phase underway, the refurbishment exercise is expected to be completed in early 2023.
“We are delighted with the new look and feel of the hotel as it has transformed into a sleek and welcoming space for business and leisure travellers alike. We are excited to welcome back local and international guests to the hotel,” said UJ property management chief executive officer Mohammad Solleh Ramli.
The improved Raia Inn Penang has guest rooms ranging from superior, deluxe and suites rooms. It also has an all-day dining café, meeting spaces for business guests, and five meeting rooms equipped with WiFi and audio-visual equipment. The grand ballroom has a 1000 capacity for dinners, weddings and conferences.
Raia Hotels have five hotels around Malaysia, at Alor Setar, Kedah; Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu; Bayan Lepas, Penang; Kuching, Sarawak; and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
