Lux Veritas is offering a complete set of television cabinet, coffee table, sofa set as well as a dining table for four during the exhibition.

YOU cannot resist the urge to touch the smooth solid wood furniture produced by South Korean designer brand Daaz.

The carefully selected natural wood pieced together is not just a furniture but a designer product.

This is how Benson Teoh and Ang Meng Yu of Lux Veritas (M) Sdn Berhad described the products designed by South Korean designers Ray-Kim, Changseok Lim, Donggeon Kim and Soyoung Kim.

Teoh said all Daaz furniture pieces used natural wood such as European ash and rowan tree.

“The designers pick the wood for each masterpiece to produce the perfect combination of wood grain and colours.

“Some of the pieces are one-of-a-kind because of its natural tree edges,” he said.

They are showcasing a range of furniture such as dining tables, sofa sets, study tables and coffee tables at the Perfect Lifestyle ‘15 home and living exhibition.

The exhibition, which starts today, is held at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Seri Kembangan until Nov 8.

Teoh said the company, which was established in July, specialised in the retail segment of Daaz solid wood designer furniture.

“We had a partnership with the South Korean designer and started to bring in the products to Malaysia in October.

The Daaz dinning table is made of pure European rowan tree.

“The trend now favours furniture with wood finishing.

“Although solid wood furniture has been in the market for quite some time, it is usually sold as a huge slab,” he said.

He added that they were positioned one step ahead of the trend as the company combined design and concept for solid wood furniture, giving it a contemporary, sleek and elegant look.

Visitors can expect to see a wide range of furniture designed for the kitchen, living and study room.

One of the Daaz dining tables made from European rowan tree has a 3D-effect when light shines on it.

Ang said it was common for visitors to notice blemishes and cracks on the furniture.

The natural wood butterfly hinge holds the natural crack together.

“This actually adds value to the furniture as it shows that it is all natural.

“Visitors will also see butterfly hinges placed on the cracks for additional support,” he said.

Lux Veritas is also featuring a non-solid wood set which comes with a dining table for four, a television cabinet, sofa set and coffee table.

The first daily 1,000 visitors will walk away with a limited edition Perfect Lifestyle aluminium drinking bottle.

Opening hours are 11am to 9pm. Admission is free.
