SEREMBAN: The year 2022 is off to a good start for OSK Property as it officiates the opening of Iringan Bayu’s Wetland Park in Seremban.
The 22-acre Wetland Park was officially completed and first opened to the public, including Iringan Bayu’s residents just before the pandemic. After seeing that the Covid-19 situation in the country has improved in recent months, OSK Property decided to hold an official opening ceremony for Wetland Park.
“The picturesque Wetland Park is the heart of Iringan Bayu in Seremban, which integrates biodiversity and environmental conservation with art and open space,” said OSK Property chief executive officer for property development Ong Ghee Bin.
“The park was envisioned to encourage a healthy ecosystem that supports conservation and appreciation of Wetlands within the neighbourhood,” he said.
The park comprises three elements that make it one-of-its-kind: Wetland, Park and Art. The Wetland, originally created as a rainwater retention pond is now the home of 200,000 wetland plants, 972 trees of 60 different species. It has to date attracted more than eight bird species and 11 local fishes.
Conversely, the Park offers a dedicated jogging track and bicycle lane. These connect to each residential phase within the township, offering 18 fitness trails, basketball and futsal court, a 190-metre link bridge with a lake pavilion and an integrated children’s playground. The Art component balances the nature elements of the Park with 24 beautiful art sculptures that would inspire viewers and serve as an ideal photo op for visitors and residents.
The Wetland Park has attracted people ranging from the residents of Iringan Bayu to the people within the vicinity and the Klang Valley to visit the park since the day it has opened its doors. Prior to the official launch event, the Wetland Park has held picnic events and it had a good response from the public.
