The StarProperty.my fair is upon us good people of Klang Valley once more. Check out this simple guide of what to do and vice versa before paying a visit!

When it comes to fairs, people flock to them like bees to honey, since that is where the best are showcased. You can be sure to find deals and promotions you would not be able to find or enjoy otherwise!

The StarProperty.my fair at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is one such event, and there will be plenty to see and ogle at while you are there, especially since there will be over 50 exhibitors present at the venue.

For some people, they might not want to go trekking through the many booths so we decided to let you know which exhibitor is in which hall, so that you know where to head to directly. The full layout and exhibitors listing can be viewed in this link here. In addition, there will be various talks presented by well-known speakers at the fair for the benefit of the visitors, and you can see who they are and what their topics are by clicking on this link!

Bear in mind that each and every one of the exhibitors will be displaying their iconic developments and have knowledgable staff on hand to pique the interest of anyone from all walks of life, so do make it a point to stop by and check out the fantastic offers.

We also came up with a quick list of what you should and should not do whilst at the fair, some of which are straightforward, but you would be surprised at how many people overlook them!

DOs AND DONTs

1) Wear Proper Shoes

This is a no-brainer but very important. You are not going to want to be hobbling through the halls of the convention centre with callouses and cuts on your feet, just because you decided that the flimsy pair of flip-flops or the towering pair of stilettos would be a good choice. Comfortable footwear such as loafers, sneakers, sandals, and ballet flats will carry you well through the numerous booths. You can also carry on with your shopping afterwards, if you so fancy. Your feet will be thanking you for sparing them the agony.

2) Plan Your Trip

Since the fair is going to be held in a venue that is not only popular amongst locals, but is also an internationally recognised icon, take note that there will be more people than one would usually see. And it's held over a weekend to boot! As such, it would be best to go early so as to grab a proper parking lot, or face the risk of getting your car clamped for illegal parking. Alternatively, we would recommend using public transportation (bus, taxis and LRT) if possible so as to minimize the stress of battling the traffic jam.

3) Research Is Key

Make sure you have carried out plenty of research on a few key factors of each developer and their projects' unique selling propositions before heading to the fair: the location of the property, the types available and the asking price, to name a few. You would then be more well-informed about which properties suit your needs and budget, and you would not be so flustered when faced with all the dazzling displays. Then if you have any additional enquiries, you would know what to ask and who to direct them to.

4) Bring Someone Along

And by that, we do not mean just any Tom, Dick or Harry! Bring along a family member, a loved one or a friend whose opinion you trust. Even better if he/she is an expert on properties, so that they are able to give you sound advice should you need it. Some developers may have special promotions which are only valid during the fair, but you may still be unsure. So if you are going to have to make a fast decision on whether or not to sign up for that ideal piece of property, who else would be better at assisting than someone knowledgable and trustworthy?

5) Begin With The End In Mind

Are you ready to own a property?

At the end of the day, what is it that you are looking for? Are you there to browse through each and every booth (window shopping, so to speak), collecting brochures after glossy pamphlets as you go? Or are you intent on securing the property of your dreams right there and then? If you do not come away a jubilant new homeowner, at least you will be taking away a treasure trove of information, which will hopefully assist you in any future property purchase decisions.

So there you have it folks, a quick and easy list to refer to when making your rounds at the upcoming StarProperty.my fair. While is is not all-encompassing, it generally covers the basics, and armed with a water bottle to keep hydrated, you are good to go!
