JUST A year after the launch of its Upper East luxury apartment project on Tiger Lane, Andaman Group is confident in telling buyers it is capable of delivering on its promises.
With construction now at the 70% stage for the 3ha project, group managing director Datuk Seri Dr Vincent Tiew revealed that buyers will enjoy the breathtaking landscape promised to them at the start.
RM5mil has already been ploughed into the landscaping and common facilities for the project.
“I am proud to introduce the magnificent landscaping around the swimming pool, which promotes open-concept living by allowing residents to freely interact with one another on the ground floor.
“The lushness of this open space caters for a range of recreational activities as well like swimming, lounging, or even throwing a party on the lawn next to the pool,” he told a press conference at the Upper East@Tiger Lane sales gallery last Thursday.
Tiew added the company had specifically set aside 0.8ha of the project’s land to work on.
“I have heard of many cases of high-rise projects where public amenities and landscape features had to be compromised on due to space constraints.
“But here, our buyers need not worry as when we promise it, we are sure to deliver it,” he said.
Present to speak on the key features of the landscaping was Site Concepts International Pte Ltd country manager Carol Chuah. Site Concepts International is designing the landscape for the swimming pool.
Chuah said the landscape design was inspired by the idea of a colonial garden.
“The design of colonial landscapes are diverse, as it dates back to a long time ago.
“But for Upper East@Tiger Lane, we took the basics of colonial designs – sculptures, colour pallettes and more – and used it to design a space where neighbours become friends,” she said.
At the very heart of this landscape is an inviting Olympic-length swimming pool, which is also equipped with shallow lounging areas, jacuzzis and a wading pool at one end with a colonial-styled rotunda.
There would also be moat-like water features surrounding blocks Block A and E of the project.
Apart from adding an element of tranquility, it is also meant to keep prying eyes away from those who are living on the ground floor fronting the swimming pool.
Chuah also introduced the project’s entrance statement feature, which is a sculptural monument plaza flanked by a series of decorative urns.
Tiew was also particularly excited about a feature rarely found in high-rise building projects, which could be found in Upper East@Tiger Lane – the party lawn.
“It is a place near the swimming pool where people can come together for a social gathering, an engagement party or even exercise.
“We take pride in all our landscape features as they have been designed with practicality in mind. We want our residents to make use of our amenities.
“Many high-rise projects like to stack their public amenities on top of the apartment buildings, which isn’t very convenient for residents at the end of the day although it saves space.
“Here, we aim to set a benchmark for all developers in Perak, as we target buyers who are used to the best and demand the best,” he said.
Tiew noted that the project is expected to the completed in the middle of next, which is around six months earlier than the planned completion date.
“Our buyers can expect to have their keys handed over to them around June or July next year,” he said.
