LIFE in enchanted bliss awaits future residents of Eco World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld)’s maiden project in Penang, the Eco Terraces in Paya Terubong.
One can wake up to crisp hillside air, stroll about manicured gardens, relax to the echo of flowing water and luxuriate in a wealth of facilities at the 12.79-acre (5.17ha) development, of which only 30% will be developed.
This will be the 33-storey tower block, housing 333 elegant units sized at 1,095sq ft, 1,366sq ft, 1,520sq ft and 2,008sq ft, with either three or four bedrooms.
“The remaining 70% will be dedicated to parkland replete with beautiful gardens, undulating terraces, a forest reserve and natural water features,” said EcoWorld Penang general manager Khoo Teck Chong.
These would spread over five zones, starting with The Arch that welcomes one home and leads to a landscaped roundabout that takes residents back to their building or the lifestyle centre.
The lifestyle centre, known as The Commune and intentionally separated from the main residential block to minimise noise, will have badminton courts, a picnic and barbecue area, and golf simulation room.
Beside that would be The Lawn — a one-acre (0.4ha) elevated garden with walkways, gazebos and even a putting green, which Khoo said is designed to give residents a space to reconnect with nature.
The swimming pool with waterfalls, a gymnasium, a grand drop-off lobby and rest area are contained at The Mesa just in front of the tower.
Encircling most of the RM430mil development is The Trail, which has jogging, cycling and trekking paths, along with a pond.
And best of all, the gated and guarded development, set for completion in 2019, features many layers of security and ensures residents’ peace of mind at all times.
EcoWorld chief operating officer Datuk S. Rajoo said, “We’re essentially building a park, and putting a development in it. Few other offerings in Penang feature such a unique and wholesome living environment.”
The company has already upgraded the paired road in front of the project, with the local government set to build a new link connecting Bandar Baru Air Itam to Bukit Jambul.
To date, around half of the non-Bumiputra units have already been sold. The remaining will be open for sale at the StarProperty.my Fair 2015 at G Hotel and Gurney Plaza from today to Sunday.
“We will have attractive, entry-level packages for potential buyers,” added Khoo.
The units will be delivered fully fitted with air-conditioners, hot-water heaters, wardrobes and kitchen cabinet with electrical appliances.
Common areas are finished with quality tiles, while laminated timber flooring is in all bedrooms.
Besides the Eco Terraces, EcoWorld will also be featuring its other projects around the country during the fair.
These include the Eco Sky, Eco Majestic, Eco Sanctuary and Saujana Glenmarie in the Klang Valley, along with Eco Spring, Eco Summer, Business Park and Eco Tropics at Iskandar Malaysia, Johor.
Rajoo also said EcoWorld’s upcoming Penang launch — the RM920mil Eco Meadows — would be the most beautiful strata-titled development on the mainland.
Sprawled over 60 acres (24.3ha) in Bukit Tambun, it will comprise terrace homes, a condominium and commercial hub, which he envisages will be the life of the area when the project is completed.
“Penangites always dream of living in landed properties.
“This can be realised on the mainland,” he added.
