KUALA LUMPUR: Boutique property developer Kuala Lumpur Metro Group (KL Metro Group) is hinging on the city’s appeal as a destination of choice for business and leisure travellers with its soon-to-open Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, a 5-star hospitality enclave and luxury city hotel and Grandview Residence, a luxury residence, located in Jalan Kia Peng.
With their proximity to Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower, KL Convention Centre, KLCC Park and skyscrapers including Exchange 106, Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur and Grandview Residence have reached their highest point in construction. The development was built in partnership with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) Malaysia.
A topping out ceremony was held on the rooftop on June 22 and was graced by Tourism Malaysia promotion deputy director-general Datuk Musa Yusof, Embassy of The People’s Republic of China Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office first secretary Zheng Le, KL Metro Group managing director Datuk Low Tak Fatt, executive director Datuk Yap Chuan Thai and senior vice president Wong Fok Ten, CSCEC managing director Lyu En and deputy general manager Mao Bao Jiang, Lexis Hotel Group corporate services senior vice president Tiu Kwe Yee, Veritas Design Group (Veritas) principal Syah Kamaruddin and Web Structure director Goh Chooi Kai.
Designed by international architecture firm Veritas, the RM720mil 53-storey mixed-use development project will be the first hotel in Kuala Lumpur to feature a private pool in each of its 275 suites. Scheduled to open in March 2023, Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur and Grandview Residence will be managed by Lexis Hotel Group.
The group currently manages three seaside resorts in Malaysia, namely Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson, Grand Lexis Port Dickson and Lexis Suites Penang.
“The topping out ceremony gets us closer to the completion of Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur and Grandview Residence, which we have no doubt will be a world-class destination in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. With comprehensive facilities and high-quality workmanship, Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur and Grandview Residence will be elevating the living lifestyle of guests staying here.
“We are on track to open in March next year and are thrilled to be developing a 275-room 5-star luxury hotel and 164-unit luxury residence in an already dynamic and competitive market, marking our very first entry in the Kuala Lumpur luxury hotel space,” said Low.
To date, 92% has been sold. The smooth construction of Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur and Grandview Residence would not have been possible without the strong support and trust from KL Metro Group, added Lyu.
“We sincerely hope to continue to strengthen our business ties and build long-lasting collaborations with the group for future projects, for a mutually beneficial partnership. I am certain that this project will set a benchmark in promoting the recovery and development of Malaysia’s economy, especially the tourism industry, in the post-pandemic era,” he added.
