SUNSURIA Bhd will soon launch the Sunsuria City township in Sepang as it has completed the acquisition from a property development joint-venture with Sime Darby Bhd.
The township with an estimated gross development value of RM6.4bil surrounds the soon-to-be open Xiamen University Malaysia Campus.
Sunsuria Bhd executive chairman Datuk Ter Leong Yap said the purchase price was roughly RM40 per sq ft.
Sunsuria City is expected to be launched in the next quarter, he told reporters during a site visit on Thursday.
Ter said the first phase of the 149ha township has a gross development value of RM1bil and there would be 663 residential units comprising link houses and low-rise apartments.
“There are certain apartments we are launching for about RM360,000 per apartment, which is about RM400 per sq ft,” Ter said.
He said the 2,400 sq ft double-storey garden villas were expected to be sold at around RM500,000.
“Commercial units start at RM1.6mil with a built-up area of 2,400 sq ft onwards,” he added.
Ter said Sunsuria was working on developing a smart, liveable and sustainable neighbourhood.
The transport-oriented town can be easily accessed by the Elite Highway and the Express Railway Link (ERL) Salak Tinggi station.
The township will also feature a public bicycle system where users just have to tap a card to unlock and use a bicycle.
They can then leave the bicycle at another “bicycle station” located near their destination.
“There will be bicycle stations in all parcels of land, including at the ERL station and dedicated bicycle tracks and parks in the township,” said Ter.
