KUALA LUMPUR: HOMEVEST is collaborating with the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) to give more Malaysians the opportunity of owning a home. Under this collaboration, HOMEVEST is extending its Home Ownership Programme for Employees (HOPE) programme to Malaysian employees listed with PERKESO to enable them to buy their own home.
This programme is officially supported by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government and awarded by the Malaysia Book of Records as the First Property Company to Provide Homeownership Programme for Employees in Malaysia.
HOMEVEST is known in the property industry for its signature HOPE programme, which enables corporations and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to empower their employees to own a home.
“HOMEVEST is a strategic partner for this initiative and this collaboration exemplifies their dedication to providing home ownership opportunities to fellow Malaysian employees out there and it also reflects our desire to collaborate with companies which share the same vision as PERKESO in providing comprehensive and dynamic social protection for all,” said PERKESO chief executive Datuk Seri Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed.
First launched in 2020, HOPE has significantly contributed to improving the talent retention programme in many companies. It had increased employees’ productivity and promoted employee loyalty when these companies introduced the programme.
Understanding the difficulties faced by employers, especially in retaining their employees due to lack of recognition or insufficient company benefits, HOPE enables Malaysian employers to empower their employees to own their dream home. Employers can utilise this programme to reward and motivate their deserving employees.
“We are pleased to be the collaborating partner of PERKESO to provide our HOPE Programme to Malaysian employees. By implementing the HOPE Programme, PERKESO is able to provide its employees with an innovative way to own a home. It will help (companies) attract more talents as well by providing value-added benefits to their employees.
“We believe that it is possible to own a home in Malaysia, especially with the support of the Housing and Local Government Ministry in the recent policy by providing affordable and quality homes under the 12th Malaysia Plan. The assistance provided in terms of financing is aimed at making it possible for more Malaysians to have access towards housing financing,” said HOMEVEST founder and group managing director Datuk KY Lim.
This collaboration was held during HOMEVEST’S celebration dinner at EQ Kuala Lumpur to celebrate their recent achievement for being the first Malaysian property company listed on the 1Exchange platform, Singapore’s first regulated private securities exchange.
