MORE than 200 enthusiastic buyers flocked to the i-Gallery @i-City as early as 3am last Saturday in their quest to secure their choice unit of Hyde Tower @i-City.

Andrew Wong, 30, and his wife See Torng Lei, 29, said there were already more than 40 people ahead of them in line when they arrived at 4am.

“We heard that the first person in line had queued since 8pm the day before.

“We chose this property because of its strategic location. It is a mixed-development and accessible via the LRT and bus rapid transit, plus it is near the Federal Highway,” said Wong.

A 43-storey tower block that is fully fitted and furnished according to a London interior design theme, Hyde Tower comes with units starting from 43.2 sq m upwards.

The 518-apartment units are in ready-to-move-in condition. Buyers can opt for standard and duplex layouts that include dual-keys units.

Speaking to the press at i-Gallery, i-City director Monica Ong said judging from the response during the sales launch, they were confident that the take-up rate would be very good.

“We offered approximately 300 units under the early-bird offer. Prior to the launch, we collected 500 deposit cheques.

“Our customers are people who appreciate urban lifestyle living. They are mostly young couples, young families, working professionals; there is a good mix of racial composition,” she said.

She hoped that the affordability factor of the apartment units (priced from RM365,000 per unit) would enable potential buyers to secure loans from financial institutions without much complications.

“We understand the hardship endured by property buyers, given the high number of reported rejections.

“Our utmost hope is that banks would accord greater flexibility, in particular, to first-time buyers as many of them have just joined the workforce and are below 30. This is surely in tandem with the aspiration of boosting homeownership among Malaysians,” she said.

Ong said the structural work for Hyde Tower had been completed and that he was expecting handover to coincide with the opening of the Central i-City Mall.

“The most unique thing about Hyde Tower is the location, it is just a doorstep away from the mall.

“In a broad sense, Hyde Tower sets the tone of a modern metropolitan lifestyle where locations for dining, shopping, art and for both work and play are just a stone’s throw away,” she said, adding the house buyers prefer fully-furnished units.

She assured discerning buyers of quality fittings as well as furnishing. The developer will be providing sofa sets from Rozel, a renowned and award-winning lifestyle furniture brand name.

Rozel Corporation founder and Managing Director Gan Tai Hwa said, “We are happy that i-City has chosen us to be the main supplier for furniture. We are known for our design and comfort.

“Our sofa design will help bring out the modern, chic and refined interior of the Hyde Park feel.”

Hyde Tower is the residential tower block located just next to the Central i-City Mall, which is expected to open for business in October 2018.

The two lower levels of Hyde Tower will have direct access to the RM800mil landmark regional mall, a joint venture between Bangkok-based Central Pattana Public Co Ltd which holds 60% stake with I-Berhad, the master developer of the approximately 29.1ha i-City ultrapolis.

Previously launched projects are Parisien Tower, inspired by the modern romanticism, glam and luxe of Paris lifestyle, and Liberty Tower, inspired by the New York lifestyle.
