FEMALE participation has played an important role in the modern workforce, and has indirectly increased their prospects in property ownership.

In the Konvensyen Hartanah, StarProperty.my will be holding a series of talks focusing on helping women to achieve self-growth and career development, which will in turn boost their chances in owning properties of their own.

This special series on encouraging more women to own properties will take place on Thursday and Friday during the four-day property exhibition to be held at Level Seven, KL Sogo from May 11 to May14.

There will also be speakers to share some tips on home decoration.

Carmen Soon from Eastern Decorator will be presenting two topics, “How Does Home Environment Affect Your Sleep” and “Highlight Your Home’s Strength and Downplay Its Weaknesses”.

“Stress has a powerful impact on various aspects of your life. It can affect one’s mood, energy level, relationship and work performance.

“Those interested to improve the quality of their sleep, should attend this talk as sleep is fundamental for one’s good health and carries the same weightage as the right diet and adequate exercise,” said Soon.

She said the first thing that home owners can start with is to improve their sleep; set the right tone of the home to achieve a blissful slumber.

“Our homes are personal and mirror our characters, therefore, it is important that one’s home communicates to its dwellers as well as guests, in a compelling and positive way.

“For those that may not know where to begin with decorating one’s home interiors, it is good to start off with the theme of “less is more,” added Carmen.

Meanwhile, Institut Pembang-unan BrandImage director Michelle Tan will be sharing pointers on the skills of managing one’s image to increase one’s confidence and self-esteem in business or personal life.

Soleil Trinity founder Jessie Lee will share the art of face reading, which can help one to recognise one’s personality types, provide insights into communication patterns, and distinguish stress issues and the implications for health and performance.

Asiabase Resources Norizan Ahmad will also be sharing tips on how women can acquire their dream homes. She will be conducting her talk in Bahasa Melayu.

Konvensyen Hartanah is also the first bumiputra property exhibition by StarProperty.my.

The event is a collaboration between StarProperty.my, mStar and Suria FM.

The exhibitors include IJM Land Bhd, LBS Bina Group Bhd, Macly Equity, Maju Kuala Lumpur, Sunsuria Bhd, Berjaya Land Bhd, OIB, Uda Land Sdn Bhd and MRCB.
