FORTY Indian families staying in low-cost flats in Nilai Impian are furious because the management disconnected their water supply after years of not billing them monthly, reported Makkal Osai.
The families were displaced from the Batang Benar plantation in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, after it was bought over for development.
The developer then built the low-cost Nilam Courts, which were bought by the families for RM40,000 each and occupied in 2003.

P. Velayutham, 63, said they were never billed for water between then and 2012.
They also claimed that the management overcharged for maintenance and utilities.
The developer never responded to complaints and requests for discussions, said Velayutham.
The residents realised on Monday that the water supply had been turned off and they had no water for drinking or cooking.
Around 80 residents gathered at the flats to hold a protest and demanded the water be turned back on. They also slammed the developer for taking such an action about a week before Deepavali.
