Guests at the event viewing models of IJM Land’s latest developments at the Shah Alam 2 sales gallery.

NEARLY 1,000 residents of Shah Alam 2 turned up for IJM Land’s Raya Open House located at the newly-opened Shah Alam 2 sales gallery.

The day also marked the first time the gallery was opened to the public.

IJM Land’s latest developments are in Shah Alam 2, Bayu Suria Semi-D, Bayu Suria Type B and Danau Perintis.

Retired lecturer Mohd Tahir Abd Rahman, 65, and his wife Muzlipah Aishah, 63, were among the guests at the open house. They said they were looking to buy a unit in Danau Perintis, the first apartments to be built in Shah Alam 2, which is now open for registration.

“Since property prices are getting so expensive, we thought it would be a good idea to buy one unit now for our children. That way they can avoid bank loans and buy property from us instead,” he said in jest.

Excited first-time housebuyer, Diyana Samsudin, 26, was also seen talking to IJM Land’s salespeople at the Raya Open House.

“I’m interested in buying my first house here for investment. Shah Alam 2 is developing rapidly and since UiTM Puncak Alam is nearby, I am targeting students as my potential tenants,” Diyana shared.

While the parents were busy surveying for property during the open house, the children flooded the games stalls offering sand art, face painting, basketball and mini football just outside the sales gallery.

IJM Land also organised “Shah Alam 2 Got Talent,” a competition for children to shine on stage.

A special appearance by songstress Dayang Nurfaizah was the highlight of the event, where she wowed the crowd with her husky and powerful vocals.

Local radio announcers Ray and Dina served as emcees of the event where they interacted with the crowd and kept the mood lively.
