ECO World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld) will launch the first phase of its Eco Meadows project comprising 375 units of double-storey terrace houses on the Penang mainland next month.
Its general manager Khoo Teck Chong said the gated and guarded development called Northampton Terraces in Jalan Paboi, Bukit Tambun, was now open for registration.
He said each unit of the strata-titled development would be priced from RM700,000 onwards.
They will be built over 12.15ha while the second phase of commercial development will be built on another similar sized land.
“Construction is expected to begin in September and scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2018.
“The English-styled architecture, reminiscent of royal homes, embraces the romance of an elegant era complemented by lush manicured lawns, structured hedges and flowering trees.
“We also incorporated some modern features and added some ‘local flavours’ to the design of the houses.
“The clubhouse aptly named Meadows Town Hall comes with a swimming pool,” he told reporters before launching the ‘Under the Windmills’ event at the temporary sales gallery in Jalan Paboi.
Khoo said the project’s official launch would be held in September, together with the opening of its sales gallery at the site.
“The selling point for the project will be its safety features. The roads in the project will be off limits to the public, something not possible with homes sold with individual titles.
“We can guarantee buyers quality maintenance. Residents can have a peaceful mind when they walk, jog or cycle in the neighbourhood as only residents are allowed into the project.
“The perimeter fencing securing the neighbourhood will be about 2m in height.
“The alarm system for each unit is connected to the guard house and the security guards will know once the alarm is triggered.
“Besides, there will also be ‘panic button’ in each unit for the house owners to turn to in the event of an emergency,” he said.
On the ‘Under the Windmills event, Khoo said the public could take pictures at the ‘show village’ featuring windmills and nicely manicured lawns.
“This attraction will be opened until Aug 30 from 10am to 6pm.”
On Aug 23, potential house buyers and the public will get to enjoy horse carriage rides.
They can also experience the excitement of rolling within a bubble tube ride.
Children can have a fun time making their way through the inflatable maze on Aug 30.
