D’Network is a hybrid solar powered F&B hub.

SHAH ALAM: Human connectivity is increasingly scarce in today’s day and age, with digitisation and lingering Covid-19 reservations, even in commercial districts, people have begun to be more isolated. Targeting this deficit in connectivity and community, SP Setia’s food and beverage (F&B) hub, D’Network, carefully selects outlets aimed at empowering local businesses, expanding to a wide range of complementary flavours and cuisines.

Located in Setia Eco Park, D’Network aims to encourage communal activities in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner. It remains open to residents of the Setia Alam township as well as people from the surrounding areas.

“We are happy to see their success, all these outlets. We choose them and then we bring them in, like Mr Fish. I went to Starling Mall, I liked the food, I took their card and called. They came in. Bo the Avocado store, I met them in Mid-Valley. It’s something healthy you know, you always want to look for something healthy and bring them in,” deputy president and chief operating officer Datuk Seri Koe Peng Kang said.

With a master plan in mind for D’Network, Koe explained the personal reasons for which he had chosen each of the 15 stores at the hub. He noted that it was important to ensure there wouldn’t be competition among the tenants, as they held their own unique market in D’Network. 

With complementary tenants, the food and beverage hub would be able to flourish in harmony.

After studying the demographic of its consumers, Koe explained that the hub was named D’Network because its intention was for the residents of the neighbourhood to network with each other, whether among colleagues, fellow students or neighbours. 

Sustainability at its core

D’Network also prides itself in being a hybrid solar-powered hub, from its musical fountain to its pet-friendly park. Solar panels are installed on the rooftop to capture maximum sunlight during the daytime, which would then be transformed into electricity, with excess current channelled into storage.

Its facilities also include a Pétanque lawn, which is a French pastime sport. Directly beside the 3.000 acres of Bukit Cerakah Forest Reserve, D’Network is designed with traffic-calming footpaths, wide road reserves, green corridors and more.

Within Setia Eco Park’s vicinity, there is a private clubhouse, a business centre and an international school as well as shopping malls, hypermarkets, offices and medical institutions. These amenities create an urban centre from which residents will be able to benefit and interact with.

Strategically located between Klang and Shah Alam, Setia Eco Park comprises bungalows and semi-detached homes, with a total of 2,971 units.
