EXCITEMENT filled the air at the official opening of Mitraland’s Gravit8 sales gallery as more than 450 visitors came to check out the developer’s latest offering in Klang South.
Mitraland Group chief executive officer Chuah Theong Yee said Gravit8 was a master plan designed to bring a fresh iconic landmark to the developing hotspot of Klang.
“Gravit8 is a project whereby friends and families can get together for some quality time. It’s the next living, leisure, workplace and entertainment hub in Klang South,” said Chuah.
With the total gross development value of RM1.3bil, the 6ha freehold project comprises themed serviced apartments, Klang Valley’s first maritime-themed retail mall, corporate offices and a boutique hotel.
Easily accessible via the Shah Alam Expressway and Federal Highway, the development will be built around a 3.2ha lake with integrated walkways and numerous water features as well as green landscapes.
Mirroring its distinctive theme, the mall’s Pier 8 will feature a unique standalone saltwater aquarium that will cost about RM6mil to build.
“As Klang is known for its port, we want people to enjoy modern maritime-themed living and for Gravit8 to stand out as a unique development.
“In reflection of the maritime theme, our serviced apartments are inspired by the oceans of the world.
“It represents the seas crossed by the colonial masters who left a mark on our history and made our country unique,” Chuah explained.
He added that Phase 1 of Gravit8, comprising 22 units of three- and five-storey shoplots, is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, Phase 2A consists of two serviced apartment towers – Adria and Nordica – offering more than 600 units with built-up ranging from 600sq ft to 1,000sq ft.
The apartment towers will be launched next month and are expected to be completed by 2019, followed by the rest of the development in subsequent phases.
Residents and visitors can also enjoy other facilities nearby such as shopping centres – AEON Bukit Tinggi, GM Klang Wholesale City and the upcoming KSL City Mall 2 and stadium.
At the sales gallery opening, there were lion and dragon dances as well as performances by Astro entertainers Nick and Stella Chung and Astro Catz.
