PETALING JAYA: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd has bagged a RM100mil contract to design, build and complete a hotel for Terengganu state government.
According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the award helps boost the group’s unbuilt book order to RM2.72bil.
“With this award, we have managed to secure RM838mil projects in 2015 and we believe there will be more opportunities to secure further projects by year-end,” said Bina Puri, a property development and construction company that was established more than 40 years ago.
The hotel is proposed to be constructed at Pulau Poh, Tasik Kenyir, Terengganu and expected to be completed in three years.
The company said project was expected to contribute positively to net assets and earnings of Bina Puri Group from the current financial year onwards.
Bina Puri said in June that it was eyeing for a 20% increase in its bottom line this year, with the construction division continuing as the main contributor.
The company, as of June, had tendered for up to 20 projects worth about RM5bil, compared with 33 last year. The projects tendered were valued at RM8.63bil.
