Join the seminar on data and technology for cost efficiency
Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and StarProperty are collaborating to host a significant hybrid seminar titled Unlocking Construction Insights: Harnessing Data and Technology for Cost Efficiency and Market Intelligence on August 15, 2024.
The seminar promises to be an invaluable opportunity for construction professionals to enhance their understanding of cost efficiency and market intelligence through data and technology.
The event, which will run from 9am to 1pm (Malaysian time) at Menara Star in Phileo Damansara, Petaling Jaya, will be conducted on a hybrid mode - accommodating up to 100 physical attendees, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis. For those unable to attend physically, they have the option to join virtually.
The seminar is designed to explore the latest advancements in construction data and technology. BCISM Sdn Bhd, a prominent provider of centralised building cost information, will highlight the features and functions of its N3C platform. This platform aids in early cost estimates, cost planning and life cycle costing. Attendees will also gain insights into Market Trends Reports and Benchmarking Analysis.
A major highlight of the seminar will be the presentation of the inaugural Market Intelligence Report for the Malaysian Construction Industry, published by Turner & Townsend. This report will serve as a basis for discussions on market trends and surveys among industry stakeholders, including government agencies.

For the forum, the moderator is BCISM chair Wan Ainon Zuraiha Khalid while the panellists comprises Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) president Oliver Wee Hiang Chyn, Turner & Townsend country director Leo Leow and Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) business environment division general manager Che Saliza Che Soh.
The registration fees for the seminar are RM80 for RISM members, RM100 for non-RISM members and US$30 for non-Malaysians. This fee includes breakfast. Interested parties can register via the QR code to secure their spot.
