The first recipients of the RMMJ at Setia Business Park 2 after the balloting ceremony officiated by Datuk Khaled Nordin.
JOHOR BAHRU: Fifteen deserving purchasers were ecstatic to be chosen as the first recipients of the Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ) at Setia Business Park 2 developed by S P Setia in support of the local government’s call to cater to demand for affordable housing for people from all walks of life.

Tan Sri Wan Mohd Zahid was present at the balloting ceremony and handing over of keys to owners of RMMJ projects by S P Setia - Sri Senja and Sri Embun, which was graced by Johor chief minister Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin, representatives from Johor’s State Executive Council for Housing and Local Government, senior dignitaries, contractors, partners and associates. Also present at the event was S P Setia president and CEO Datuk CJ Khor as well as S P Setia property south divisional general manager Stanley Saw.
Under the RMMJ initiative, S P Setia has developed a total of 490 units of 18’ x 60’ two-storey clustered terrace homes, namely Sri Senja (236 units) and Sri Embun (254 units). Launched in May 2017, the units are modestly priced between the ranges of RM150,000 to RM206,000 each.
Datuk Mohamed Khaled applauded S P Setia as well as expressed his gratitude in a heartfelt speech at the event. “This joint initiative by S P Setia together with the state government is an excellent example to other developers to step up and do the same,” he said, citing good synergy and cooperation as the key factors in making the joint venture a success.
