Crowdfunding is a relatively new development in the Malaysian real estate industry but it has the potential to disrupt traditional ways of financing for the industry.
Rehda Institute’s real estate & property development business seminar on crowdfunding is expected to examine how crowdfunding will impact the real estate industry. Experts will examine how the industry can leverage and ride on the crowdfunding bandwagon, particularly in the areas of financing.
The seminar is expected to take place on July 20, 2016, from 9am to 2pm, at Wisma Rehda, Kelana Jaya.
Alix Global founding CEO Angelld Quah, CrowdPlus.asia COO Bryan Chung, pitchIN CEO & co-founder Sam Shafie, Maneo Inc international sales Mattias Karnell and Chur Associates founder Chris Tan are the speakers for the seminar.
The topics to be presented are ‘Real Estate Crowdfunding: The next Gen of Real Estate Investing’ (Quah), ‘Financing, financing, financing! How can property developers & real estate players ride on the Equity Crowdfunding Wave?’ (Chung) and ‘Legal and compliance in the application on Equity Crowdfunding to the property development business’ (Shafie).
Tan will be moderating a panel discussion and Q&A session on the topic where ‘Malaysian property developers need to leverage on the future of crowdfunding’, where they should consider seeking investors through crowdfunding, which is an alternative source of financing.
A special live streaming presentation on crowdfunding is expected to be presented by Karnell.
