JOHOR BARU: Chinese New Year songs filled the air as hundreds turned up for IJM Land’s open house.
Guests enjoyed a lion dance performance by Kun Seng Keng Lion and Dragon Dance Association from Muar at the event which was held at Sebana Cove Sales Gallery in Permas Jaya.
Other activities included an arts and crafts workshop, quizzes, lucky draw, photo booth sessions and God of Prosperity walkabout.
Housewife Stella Joseph, 35, said that she had always loved attending other festive celebrations besides her own.
“Every year, I will try to bring my son to Chinese or Malay festive celebrations,” she said.
Marketing executive Bryan Lee and telecommunication manager William Ng said it was the liveliest Chinese New Year open house they had ever attended.
“We hope to come back next year,” said Ng.
Manager Jason Loh, 50, who was waiting in line at the arts and crafts booth with his six-year-old daughter, said that it was the perfect way to spend the weekend.
IJM Land general manager Roger Lee Wai Hin said last year, they held the open house in Sebana Cove Resort in Pengerang.
He said that IJM Land would be handing over 50 units of bungalows in Fairway golf villas to their owners by the end of the year.
