KUALA LUMPUR: KUB Malaysia Berhad (‘KUB’ or ’the Group’) today hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with the festive month of Hari Raya.
This Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House is a culture practised by the Group over the years as a gesture of appreciation to all stakeholders, business partners, corporate friends, colleagues of KUB and members of the media for their continued support.
“It is our pleasure to host this annual celebratory event. It is a perfect opportunity to bring people together and at the same time to show our gratitude to all our stakeholders for their unwavering support and to our dedicated colleagues who have been the backbone of the Group,” according to a statement by KUB president/group managing director Datuk Abdul Rahim Mohd Zin.
Among the guests were 100 multi-racial orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim & Miskin Sungai Pinang and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor. The children were dressed in new outfit, given by the Group prior to the event. During the function, the children received RM50 as ‘duit raya’ and were treated with a wide array of authentic traditional Hari Raya dishes. Abdul Rahim also presented a cheque of RM5,000 to each of the respective homes to assist in their daily welfare.
“This Hari Raya Open House is an opportune moment for all to be joyful. I am delighted to see the management team, colleagues from all levels and business associates gathered here as this help to strengthen relationship ties with each other. Concurrently, we are also fulfilling our commitment in reaching out to the under-privileged children. It is indeed a pleasure to see smiles on many faces,” added Abdul Rahim.
