The largest property exposition of the nation; MAPEX by the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia will be making its debut for the year from 14 to 16 April at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Opening hours is from 10.00 am to 9.00pm daily.
This national level MAPEX will be participated by more than 50 renowned developers showcasing a wide range of properties from affordable to exclusive and luxury, strata and landed properties.
Among the exhibitors are Ecoworld Development Group Berhad, Mah Sing Group Berhad, Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad, SP Setia Berhad, Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), MKH Berhad, IJM Land Berhad and Putra Nilai Development Sdn Bhd and many more.
State related agencies such as Rumah Mampu Milik Wilayah Persekutuan (RUMAWIP) under the Ministry of Federal Territories would also be participating in the expo to offer quality affordable housing to purchasers.
“With the new and improved public transportation network, it is timely that this MAPEX has been themed ‘Greater Connectivity for Better Affordable Living’. The newly launched Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and other upcoming LRT/MRT projects are set to change the people’s lifestyle that is to opt for public transportation as the main vehicle for travelling especially when commuting to work. Efficient public transportation will make our cities free from gridlock or at least less congested.
With this in mind, we are honoured to have the Ministry of Transport; Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai to officiate the Opening Ceremony on Saturday, 15 April at 2.30pm,” informed Datuk Ng Seing Liong, MAPEX Chairman who is also REHDA Past President and Patron.
Apart from public talks on pertinent topics, visitors of this MAPEX will also have the chance to participate in a forum which we are organising especially for this MAPEX.
Based on the theme ‘Affordable Housing and Connectivity’, the Forum will take place on 16 April, featuring renowned industry experts as the speakers namely Datuk Liong (2017 MAPEX Organizing Chairman / Past President & Patron of REHDA Malaysia), Dato’ Wan Hashimi AlBakri (COO of Sime Darby Property/REHDA Vice President), Sr Elvin Fernandez (Managing Director, Khong & Jaafar Group of Companies), Dato’ Pretam Singh (Partner, Messers, Pretam Singh, Nor & Co) and Mr Ernest Bernard Towle (General Manager, StarProperty Sdn Bhd) as the moderator.
“We encourage public to come and attend the Forum as you will surely gain useful information and get your relevant queries answered. Learn the tips and tricks on home purchase and find out where and when to buy as well as know your rights as a purchaser. All these will be discussed at the Forum,” said Datuk Ng.
“Demand for properties is still high even though the market is currently quite sluggish. Regretfully, end-financing issues faced by interested house buyers has dampened the actual sale.
Currently, only Hong Leong Bank and Maybank Berhad have confirmed their participation. Hence, we urge more financial institutions to come forward and participate in this MAPEX to assist public in their purchases.
Financing is most essential in house purchase and there is no other better platform than MAPEX for financial institutions to promote their products and packages to the target audience,” said Datuk Ng further.
