WITH uncertainties clouding the property market, the upcoming Prime Investment Forum to be held on May 8 at The Oak Room, Nexus, Bangsar South, will be able to shed some light on where the market is heading.
The forum from 9am to 6pm is organised by StarProperty.my and sponsored by Mah Sing Group Bhd.
Expounding on topics that concern the residential, commercial and industrial property markets are Chur Associates founder Chris Tan, Messrs Iqbal Hakim, Sia & Voo managing partner Elizabeth Siew, Khalil Adis Consultancy Pte Ltd founder Khalil Adis and Dr Choong Kwai Fatt, an advocate and solicitor who is also a tax and GST consultant.
In the topic “Quality, Location & Reputation - Learning the Art of War in Property”, Tan will share that “Housing The Nation” is a pressing agenda of the country, both at federal and state levels.
“Legally, we are living in the time and era of the best possible home owners protection with friendly incentives as well as attractive financing given to genuine home buyers,” he shared.
Choong, who has 26 years of experience providing tax consultancy services to listed companies, audit firms and the government sector, will share his insights on “Tax Strategies in GST Era on Property Acquisition - with Asset Protection for Children.”
Despite the gloomy economy, property acquisition remains a strong investment and financial planning too, and Choong said new strategies need to be formulated for tax efficiency and profit optimisation. He will also identify the manner for asset protection given to children.
Khalil, who is the co-author of “Get it Right Iskandar” – the first book ever written on investing in Iskandar Malaysia, will deliberate on “Connectivitiy and its Impact on Residential, Commercial and Industrial Properties.”
At the forum, Khalil will be sharing his tips and strategies from his upcoming book, “Property Buying for Gen Y”, with a special focus on commercial properties.
“Smart Property Investment know the Law in Creative Investment”, Siew will explore some of the out-of-the-box legal structures and strategies that enable property buyers to invest creatively amidst the challenging time.
Participants at the forum will also have the opportunity to tap the brain of the property experts during the lunch break.
