KUALA LUMPUR: A property developer, Yong Tai Bhd (Yong Tai), aims to strengthen its property development business segment by appointing Boo Kuang Loon as the director of the company to lead its management team.
The appointment was announced yesterday, starting with immediate effect. Boo, 43, has extensive exposure in the property and development sector with approximately 20 years of working experience in property development, project management and construction management.
Boo established PTS Properties Sdn Bhd (PTS Properties) in 2007 and is currently the chief executive officer of the company. PTS Properties is a property developer that is involved in property development, construction, sales and leasing for residential and commercial properties. It has developments in Malacca and Klang Valley.

Established in 1971, Yong Tai is a public company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd which core business has diversified into property development. The group’s existing projects are strategically located within the heritage city centre of Malacca.
The group is also the project manager behind The Apple and Courtyard by Marriott, a 32-storey service apartment in Malacca and 16-storey four-star hotel that will be managed by the Marriott Group.
Leveraging on the state’s status as a Unesco World Heritage Site, Yong Tai’s maiden property development, via a joint venture with PTS Properties, is a 29-storey luxury condominium hotel known as The Pines, which was fully completed and sold.
