PETALING JAYA: Ekovest Bhd hosted a breaking of fast with 200 orphans from three orphanages at the Setapak and Segambut area, celebrating the spirit of sharing and togetherness.
At the heartwarming event, Minister of Works Datuk Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Ministry of Federal Territories Secretary General Datuk Seri Adnan bin Hj. Md Ikshan and Ekovest Bhd’s managing director Datuk Seri Lim Keng Cheng gave duit raya to the 200 orphans from Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Shifa, Rumah Titian Kasih, and Rumah Nur Kasih Bestari.
According to the statement, more than 1,100 people thronged into the event hall to celebrate the breaking of fast held last Tuesday at the new Ekovest convention hall, located within SJK(C) Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.
The guests were treated to a wide variety of dishes including kampung delicacies and traditional delights to a variety of local and continental savouries.
