A TOTAL of 355 Year Six pupils from the Setia Caring School Programme adopted schools, namely SK Meru Jalan Tap, SJK (C) Lee Min and SJK (T) Ladang Vallambrosa, recently received their graduation certificates in a multiracial joint graduation ceremony organised for the first time at Setia City Convention Centre.
Themed “Celebrating Your Success: Fulfilling Dreams”, the headmaster, headmistress and teachers from three schools worked hand in hand to put together a heartwarming affair to celebrate the achievement of the students before they bid goodbye to their alma mater.
The joint graduation ceremony was attended by SP Setia Foundation chairman Tan Sri Dr Wan Zahid Mohd Noordin and Klang District Education head Adliyah Ramli.
“This is a momentous occasion for the schools and for the nation as we successfully bring together these pupils from various races, background and cultures as one.
“As we aim to inculcate caring and promote mutual respect and unity in the community, I am happy to see that teachers, parents and pupils from three schools worked together in making this ceremony a success,” Dr Wan Zahid said.
He added that unity was vital in bringing everyone together, and this collaborative effort to bring multiracial pupils together under one programme should be emulated.
SJK (T) Ladang Vallambrosa headmaster Tharman Loganathan said the graduation ceremony was held to celebrate and recognise the pupils’ hard work and efforts.
