Miss Malaysia Earth Kuala Lumpur Renee Quimson had recently took part in a tree planting ceremony of a Feature Tree (Samanea Saman) in OnePark, Taman Semenyih Idaman by Iwajib Property Sdn Bhd (Iwajib) as a symbolic gesture of illustrating the importance of reducing the carbon footprint of the environment.
Joining Renee in the ceremony was Miss Air KL 2016 Prasana Shri and Miss Eco Beauty KL 2016 Chanelle Jasmine Wong.
Building eco-friendly homes is a pledge by Iwajib undertaken to provide healthy living for the welfare of the community at large.
OnePark is where one will wake up to the sound of birds chirping, and where trees and shrubs would greet you enthusiastically. Living within an atmosphere such as that makes life more wholesome where health would not merely be an option but a pre-requisite to a healthy lifestyle.
This township is gated and guarded, with homes that encompass living alongside Mother Nature. At OnePark, going green is more than just planting trees, it is in fact a whole new concept that is implemented at each stage of the development.
OnePark is designed as a functional and interactive park that consist of many eco themed parks which will hold designated areas such as The Feature Tree, Central Greenarium, Fernarium, Heliconium, Calathium, Herbarium, Fruitti and Woodlands whereby plants are specially selected via themes according to their respective groups.
The Feature Tree is the chief focus point of the township’s Central Greenarium, which also poses as the centre of all community activities of the green residence.
Some of the plant life that would be featured within the township include Selaginella Plana or Cyperus Clubmoss, Nephrolepis Falcate or Fish Tail Fern, Aplenium Nidus or Bird Nest Fern, Platycerium Ridleyi orRidley’s Stag Horn Fern, Heliconia Psittacorum “Sassy” (pink), Calathea Loeseneri or Brazilian Calathea as well as Ciku trees as well as Jambu Air trees.
The Herbarium is another exciting area of OnePark as it will hold herbs that can be used for the daily consumption of the residents here. Some of the plant life that will be grown in this area includes Murraya Koenigii, Pandanus Amanryllifolius, Purple Cat’s Whiskers plant, Mentha Spicata or Pudina, Curcuma Zedoaria or Turmeric as well as Centella Asiatica or Pegaga.
To increase the education process amongst residents, each plant will be named scientifically while reference books are also placed in the Community Building Library should residents want to learn more about the plant life that would surround their residences.
