SHAH ALAM: Property developer Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) makes another milestone as it celebrates the official opening of the Eco Ardence Interchange at its vibrant Eco Ardence township in Setia Alam.

Construction works on the interchange commenced in September 2019 and it was completed in March 2023 at a cost of RM50mil. The four-lane interchange features a modern design and serves as a grand welcome to the township.

“Eco Ardence began seven years ago and to date, we have successfully launched all five of our landed residential phases and also two high-rise residential products. Our dedicated team have also worked tirelessly to bring this interchange to life and it is their efforts that have culminated in this impressive structure that stands before us today,” EcoWorld president and chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Chang Khim Wah said.

He said that with the opening of the interchange, residents of Eco Ardence and the surrounding communities will be able to benefit from a more efficient and convenient route to access the North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and also into the township.

“As with all our developments, we place great emphasis on infrastructure and connectivity. This interchange also represents EcoWorld’s collective commitment to sustainable development as by reducing traffic congestion, we minimise our carbon footprint,” he said.

Officiated by Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, the event was also attended by EcoWorld deputy CEO Liew Tian Xiong, Cascara advisor Tan Sri Bustari Yusuf and director Datuk Amadi Yusoff, Selangor Works Department deputy director Mohd Zawawi Zakaria, Malaysia Highway Authority deputy managing director Hadzmir Yusoff and PLUS Malaysia Bhd managing director Datuk Nik Airina Nik Jaafar.

Launched in 2016, the 533-acre Eco Ardence is the re-imagination of Shah Alam as a suburban city of Art, Culture and Commerce. The joint development between EcoWorld and Cascara Sdn Bhd has a gross development of RM8.58bil and is crafted as an eco-township inspired by modern tropical design elements with a hint of Japanese influence. The township currently has a population of about 5,000 but is expected to grow further when the rest of the development is completed.
